Refund Policy

Important Notice

InmateDB does not offer refunds for valid purchases of plans, gifted deposits, credits, quotas, or communication-related services once they are purchased, assigned, reserved, or activated.

1. General Policy

All fees, gifted plans, deposits, credits, and related service charges on InmateDB are non-refundable. When you make a purchase for an incarcerated individual, that purchase is treated as a gift for that individual's communication access and service usage.

These purchases do not retain cash value, are not redeemable for cash, and cannot be returned, reversed, or exchanged once submitted.

1.1 Non-Refundable

All fees are non-refundable for any reason. When you make a deposit to an account, that deposit is a gift to the individual you selected. Those funds may only be used for services or products sold or offered by InmateDB and do not have cash value.

By making a deposit, buying a plan, or adding credits, you agree that you will not request a refund, reversal, or chargeback for that transaction except where a refund is required by law.

2. Why Refunds Are Not Available

As soon as a plan, message quota, phone-related feature, or other communication service is assigned or reserved for an inmate, InmateDB begins incurring real third-party costs. These costs can include provider charges, messaging infrastructure, phone server capacity, dedicated phone numbers, account provisioning, and related operational expenses.

Because those underlying costs are billed to us by our providers and generally cannot be refunded or reversed after activation or allocation, we are not able to offer refunds to the purchaser.

3. Gifted Plans and Deposits

Plans, deposits, and communication credits purchased through InmateDB are intended to benefit the specific incarcerated individual selected at checkout. Once gifted, reserved, or applied, they cannot be transferred back into cash or refunded to the original purchaser.

If a recipient does not fully use a gifted plan or available quota, the unused portion still remains non-refundable because the related capacity and provider costs were committed when the purchase was processed.

4. Provider and Facility Dependencies

Our services depend on outside vendors, correctional facility systems, telecommunications partners, and infrastructure providers. Delivery times, service availability, and facility-level restrictions can vary, but those variables do not create refund eligibility.

InmateDB is not responsible for non-refundable downstream charges imposed by providers, facility rules, connection limits, or third-party service constraints that arise after a purchase is made.

5. Before You Purchase

Please review plan details, recipient information, and service compatibility carefully before completing a transaction. You are responsible for confirming that the inmate, facility, and selected service are correct before checkout.

If you are unsure whether a service fits your situation, contact support before making a purchase rather than after a plan or credit has been gifted.

6. Billing Questions

If you believe you were charged in error, billed more than once for the same transaction, or need help understanding a charge, contact us and we will review the billing record. A billing review does not change the non-refundable nature of valid purchases.

7. Support Tickets

If you have a billing question or believe there was an issue with a charge, please submit a support ticket through our support page. We will review the billing record and respond as soon as possible.

By completing a purchase on InmateDB, you acknowledge and agree that valid gifted plans, deposits, credits, and related service fees are non-refundable.
